This Privacy Policy explains how JCobiq Energy Solutions ("we," "us," our," or "GoFuel") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you use the GoFuel mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using GoFuel, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our privacy practices, please discontinue use of the Service.

1.1 Information You Provide

We may collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account Information: Phone number, full name, email address, password, and account details.
• Identity Verification: BVN, date of birth, government-issued identification, and other verification information where required for account security, regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, or credit eligibility.
• Payment Information: Payment information submitted through our supported payment methods. Payment card information is processed through our payment providers and is not stored on GoFuel's servers where the payment provider handles the card information directly.
• Transaction Data: Fuel requests, fuel quantities, wallet funding, wallet activity, savings plans, payment transactions, Fuel Assist Credit applications, approved credit, applicable service charges, repayments, and repayment history.
• Profile Information: Profile picture, vehicle information, preferences, and other information you choose to provide.
• Communications: Messages sent to customer support, complaints, feedback, and other communications with GoFuel.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use GoFuel, we may automatically collect:

• Location Data: Device GPS location when you use location-enabled features, such as finding nearby fuel stations, subject to your device permissions.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, unique device or installation identifiers, mobile network information, and related technical information.
• Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, interaction patterns, session information, performance information, and crash reports.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, pages or screens viewed, diagnostic information, and related technical logs.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from service providers, including:

• Identity Verification Services: Information required to verify identity and eligibility.
• Payment Providers: Transaction confirmations, payment status, references, and other information required to process and reconcile transactions.
• Analytics Providers: Aggregated usage and application-performance information.
• Partner Vendors: Information relating to fuel requests and fulfillment of transactions.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve GoFuel.
• Register and manage user accounts.
• Process fuel requests and transactions.
• Process wallet funding and supported payment transactions.
• Process and manage Fuel Assist Credit applications, eligibility, approvals, credit limits, service charges, repayments, and related account activity.
• Calculate and manage applicable transaction charges, including the disclosed 3% Fuel Assist Credit service charge where applicable.
• Verify identity and assess eligibility for applicable services.
• Match users with nearby participating fuel stations.
• Process vendor fulfillment and settlement.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, suspicious activity, unauthorized transactions, and security incidents.
• Send transaction confirmations, receipts, payment reminders, repayment reminders, security alerts, and service notifications.
• Provide customer support and resolve complaints and disputes.
• Analyze service usage and improve user experience.
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights and users.
• Send promotional communications where permitted and where you have provided the required consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information where necessary to provide GoFuel, process transactions, protect users, comply with law, or operate our business.

3.1 With Service Providers

We may share relevant information with service providers including:

• Payment Processing: Payment providers used to process wallet funding, repayments, transactions, and related payment services.
• Identity Verification: Identity and verification providers used for applicable verification and eligibility checks.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Firebase, Google Cloud, or other infrastructure providers used for hosting, authentication, storage, and application operations.
• Push Notifications: Notification providers used to deliver transaction and service alerts.
• Analytics: Analytics providers used to understand aggregated application usage and performance.

3.2 With Partner Fuel Vendors

We may share limited information required to fulfill fuel transactions with participating fuel station vendors. This may include request identifiers, transaction information, verification codes, fuel quantity, and other information reasonably necessary to complete the requested service.

Participating vendors are expected to protect information provided to them and use it only for legitimate transaction and service purposes.

3.3 Credit and Repayment Services

Where necessary to provide, assess, administer, reconcile, or recover Fuel Assist Credit, relevant information may be shared with authorized financial, payment, identity-verification, credit, fraud-prevention, collection, or other service providers involved in the applicable transaction or credit process.

We will only share information for legitimate purposes and subject to applicable legal, contractual, security, and data-protection requirements.

3.4 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, court order, regulatory requirement, law-enforcement request, or other valid legal process.

3.5 Business Transfers

If GoFuel or JCobiq Energy Solutions is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction.

You may disable non-essential push notifications through your device settings or application preferences. Important transactional, security, or legally required communications may still be sent where appropriate.

5.4 Marketing Communications

Where applicable, you may unsubscribe from promotional communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us.

5.5 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal information by contacting privacy@gofuel.ng.

We may retain certain information where necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, protect our rights, maintain transaction records, or enforce outstanding financial or contractual obligations.
